Thank you for your interest in our ushering ministry! The mission is simple, but the impact can be profound: welcome all as Christ. The particular objectives of this ministry include:

• Greet parishioners before Mass by standing in the narthex.

• Assist with handing out missals / song books before Mass.

• Refill coffee pods / water at the SPX Café.

• Identify two parishioners to bring forward the gifts.

• Direct traffic during communion.

• After Mass: Gather collection and place into sacristy safe.

• Always: Bring a smile! 

• Dress: Business casual. (Name tag encouraged).

In unique circumstances, ushers may also be asked to:

• Assist in all ushering duties during holiday Masses.

• Serve as point of contact in case of an emergency. If for example, there is either a medical or security issue, the usher(s) would contact the appropriate authorities.

• If trained in CPR, ushers may be asked to administer if needed.
