In keeping with the long-standing tradition of Christmas giving at St. Pius, we will be participating in a coat drive for the Pre-K students of the Luis Munoz Marin Elementary school in Newark. Although the school may be close to us in distance, the needs of the students are profound. Our goal is to give each child in Pre-K a new coat for Christmas. Tags will be available in the Narthex the weekend of December 2 nd -3 rd . We ask that you consider taking a tag, which will include the child’s name, gender and coat size. Coats can be placed unwrapped in a gift bag with the tag attached. The deadline for all coats to be returned will be on December 11th as to
give us enough time to get them to the school. There will also be an opportunity once again this year to help Mother Teresa’s Soup Kitchen with much needed cleaning products and gift cards
to Target, Shoprite and Walmart. The Center for Hope and Safety is in need of gift cards to Amazon, Target and Walmart. The Bergen County Homeless Shelter would greatly benefit from sweatshirts, sweatpants and other personal items. Tags will be available for these organizations as well in the Narthex.
