There are two ministries under "Bereavement": the bereavement group and a phone call ministry. More information can be found below.
Jesus says in the Beatitudes, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted."
Everyone will experience grief at some point in their life and it can be overwhelming. If you are grieving the loss of a spouse, parent/s, child/children, siblings or friends, you are not alone in your grief. We at St. Pius X now have our fourth series of meetings starting.
Eight Wednesday evenings from 7-8 pm in the Family Chapel as follows:
04/12/23 (1) Welcome and Introductions
04/19/23 (2) Feelings
04/26/23 (3) Anger
05/03/23 (4) Family Systems, who plays which role?
Include extended family and friends
05/10/23 (5) Grief (6 stages)
05/17/23 (6) Guilt and Regrets
05/24/23 (7) Hopefulness / Candle Service
05/31/23 (8) Loneliness / Caretaking / Recovery
Eight weeks, a short time to hopefully feel a lot better. Grieving can be difficult and is meant to be a shared experience. Contact Lorraine Delling, at [email protected] or 201-722-0982 or just come and register at any meeting! CLICK HERE to register online.
Bereavement team leaders also run a phone call ministry. On important milestones, such as six-month and one-year anniversaries, a phone call is made to the next of kin / point of contact by a team member to assure them of our prayers. If you are either interested in joining, or are in need of a phone call, please contact Lorraine Delling, at [email protected] or 201-722-0982.
