What is Advent?
Advent is a season of joyful anticipation and spiritual preparation observed in many Christian traditions. Derived from the Latin word adventus, meaning "coming," Advent marks the beginning of the liturgical year and the four weeks leading up to Christmas. It is a time to prepare our hearts for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ and to reflect on His promised second coming.
During Advent, we are invited to deepen our relationship with God through prayer, reflection, and acts of charity. Each Sunday, a candle is lit on the Advent wreath, symbolizing hope, peace, joy, and love. These virtues guide us in our journey toward the light of Christ, who comes to bring salvation to the world.
May this space inspire us to grow closer to Jesus, and may all the resources shared here serve as a source of encouragement and faith for everyone who visits. Let us walk together in this season of hope, embracing the true meaning of Christmas in our lives.
