24 Churches, 24 Hours of Prayer
In this Jubilee Year, Pope Francis has chosen for the twelfth edition of "24 Hours for the Lord" a particularly significant motto: “You are my hope” (Ps. 71:5). This theme is deeply tied to the Jubilee 2025, which is centered on the words of St. Paul: "Spes non confundit" – "Hope does not disappoint" (Rom. 5:5). This Holy Year is an invitation for all to become “Pilgrims of Hope.”
Each Jubilee has a unique way of being lived, shaped by its historical context and the Holy Father's intentions as expressed in the Bull of Indiction. "24 Hours for the Lord" is a worldwide initiative that places the Sacrament of Reconciliation at the heart of the Church’s pastoral mission, reminding us that God’s mercy is at the core of the Gospel message.
A Unified Effort: 24 Churches, 24 Hours of Prayer
As part of this worldwide event, St. Pius X Church, the Pilgrimage Site for Bergen County, invites 24 parishes to participate by dedicating one hour of Eucharistic Adoration on March 28, 2025.
The goal is to ensure 24 full hours of continuous prayer across Bergen County. Even if multiple parishes select the same time slot, what matters is that together, we sustain a full day of adoration.
How to Participate
• Each parish is asked to commit to at least one hour of Eucharistic Adoration on March 28 at a time that best fits their schedule.
At St. Pius X Church, Adoration will begin immediately following our 9:00 AM weekday Mass on March 28.
To coordinate participation, we kindly ask all interested parishes to contact Janet Natale at [email protected] so we can maintain an official list of churches taking part.
This is a powerful opportunity for unity, allowing our entire community to embrace the Jubilee’s call to prayer, hope, and renewal.
